About privacy and data protection when using the chatbots developed in this project:
The chatbots created as part of the project run on Facebook Messenger (privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php). The chatbots were created using the Chatfuel design tool (privacy policy for users within the European Union: https://chatfuel.com/files/PrivacyPolicy-EU.pdf).
Chatfuel, the chatbot creation tool we used, collects data on chatbots usage. This data is as follows: the user’s Messenger ID, country of connection, first and last use of the chatbot, the number of times the user has logged in to the chatbot, the number of topics the user has explored, and whether the user has blocked the chatbot or not.
This allows partners to understand the general behaviour of users with chatbots, based on: the number of active users over a given period of time; the number of new users; the number of interactions with the chatbot; the retention rate (if users use the chatbot more than once); and the most explored topics.
As European organisations (companies and training centres), consortium members are subject to the GDPR. User data are used in the framework of the partners’ teaching activities and for reporting purposes within the European project. No user data is used for commercial purposes or transmitted outside the consortium.
